Job Title: Project Manager Location: Hadhramout - Mukalla Reporting to: Programs Manager Deadline: 17/03/2026 Background BCHR is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2015. The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, implementation, and management of the "Building Resilience" project in Hadhramout. This role ensures that all integrated community-based interventions are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with international humanitarian standards and local sensitivities. Key Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful execution of the project, including: Project Leadership & Management: Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all project activities in line with the project's objectives and timeline. Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to the project team and local partners. Ensure all project deliverables are met on time and within budget. Stakeholder & Partner Coordination: Maintain strong working relationships with local partner organizations, community leaders, and relevant government bodies. Coordinate with partners to build their capacity in implementing sustainable gender-empowerment projects. Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Financial & Administrative Oversight: Manage the project budget, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and align with financial regulations. Oversee all administrative tasks, including procurement, logistics, and resource allocation. Prepare and submit regular financial reports to donors and senior management. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework to track project progress and impact. Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities and provide support to the team. Prepare high-quality progress reports, including quarterly and final reports for stakeholders and donors. Key Activities to Oversee The Project Manager will be directly responsible for the implementation of the following key activities: Livelihood Support: Supervise the delivery of technical and vocational skills training (TVET) and cash assistance to help women start or expand small businesses. This includes training in areas such as biogas production and agriculture. Social & Behavioral Change: Facilitate community discussions and workshops with both men and women to challenge social norms and promote gender equality. Financial Inclusion: Guide the establishment and support of Savings and Rural Finance Funds (SRFFs) to improve women's access to financial resources and management skills. Legal Aid: Oversee the provision of legal assistance to help women obtain essential civil documentation, such as birth and marriage certificates, which are critical for accessing services and employment. Psychosocial Support: Ensure the provision of psychosocial support activities to enhance the resilience and well-being of beneficiaries. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration). Minimum of [5] years of experience in project management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts. Proven experience in managing gender-empowerment or livelihood projects. Strong financial management and reporting skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English language. Previous experience working in a similar context is highly desirable.
